It is a Swiss federal law that mineral and crystal extracting in Switzerland is allowed only by hand, with a hammer and pick. No other mining equipment to blast holes in the earth or dig trenches with big machinery. I was guided to this store and crystal cellar during my shopping trip to Switzerland in September, not knowing that I just walked into the store of the miner who found the biggest crystal in Swiss history.
